Club Constitution and Bylaws

### **Document of Organization: Amateur Ham Radio Club**

#### **Name:**

The organization shall be known as the Lake Dallas Amateur Radio Klub (hereinafter referred to as "the Club").

#### **Purpose:**

The purpose of the Club is to promote interest in amateur radio communication and experimentation, to provide training and education in radio communication techniques, to support community service and emergency communications, and to comply with the regulations set forth by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

### **Constitution of the Lake Dallas Amateur Radio Klub **

#### **Article I - Name**

The name of this organization shall be the Lake Dallas Amateur Radio Klub

#### **Article II - Purpose**

The purpose of the Club shall be to:

1. Promote interest in amateur radio communication and experimentation.

2. Provide training and education in radio communication techniques.

3. Support community service and emergency communications.

4. Foster a spirit of cooperation and mutual support among its members.

5. Comply with the regulations of the FCC.

#### **Article III - Membership**

Section 1: Membership is open to all individuals interested in amateur radio.

Section 2: Members shall abide by the Club's Constitution, Bylaws, and the regulations of the FCC.

#### **Article IV - Officers**

Section 1: The elected officers of the Club shall be President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Section 2: The officers shall be elected annually by a majority vote of the members present at the annual meeting.

#### **Article V - Meetings**

Section 1: Regular meetings shall be held monthly.

Section 2: An annual meeting shall be held for the election of officers and other business.

#### **Article VI - Amendments**

Amendments to this Constitution may be proposed by any member and shall be adopted by a two-thirds majority vote of the members present at a regular meeting, provided that notice of the proposed amendment has been given at the previous meeting.

### **Bylaws of the Lake Dallas Amateur Radio Klub**

#### **Article I - Membership Dues**

Section 1: Annual dues shall be determined by the membership at the annual meeting.

Section 2: Dues are payable by January 1st of each year.

#### **Article II - Duties of Officers**

Section 1: The President shall preside at all meetings, enforce the Constitution and Bylaws, and perform such other duties as usually pertain to the office of President.

Section 2: The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in their absence and assist the President as required.

Section 3: The Secretary shall keep a record of all meetings, handle correspondence, and maintain the Club's official documents.

Section 4: The Treasurer shall collect dues, manage the Club's funds, and keep accurate financial records.

#### **Article III - Committees**

Section 1: The President may appoint committees as necessary to carry out the objectives of the Club.

Section 2: All committees shall report their activities and findings to the Club.

#### **Article IV - Conduct of Meetings**

Section 1: Meetings shall be conducted in accordance with Robert's Rules of Order.

Section 2: A quorum shall consist of one-third of the membership.

#### **Article V - Compliance with FCC Regulations**

Section 1: All Club activities shall comply with FCC regulations.

Section 2: The Club shall promote knowledge and understanding of FCC regulations among its members.

#### **Article VI - Dissolution**

Upon dissolution of the Club, any remaining assets shall be donated to a non-profit organization chosen by the membership that supports amateur radio activities.
